“As a little girl, I have many wonderful memories of my mother painting in her studio in our home on Elden Avenue in Whittier.
Mother was bigger than life to me with all her many talents. She could paint decoupage, design jewelry, sew anything and everything, needlepoint pillows, was a fantastic cook and tap dancer. My mother was a very warm and caring woman. Not only was she beautiful on the outside, but on the inside as well. She could do it all and she did!”
The JHVCF will carry on her legacy and the joy she felt while painting and helping other artists to pursue their artistic dreams.

Jon was a Founder, General Counsel
and member of the Board for the Foundation.
Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father, brother,
uncle, colleage and friends to so many, who will remember him
as uniquely graceful, giving, ageless, timeless and so full of life.
Jon indeed lived many lives.
He was a pararescue jumper, athlete and Olympian, attorney, cowboy,
outdoorsman, pilot and so much more.
Many are unaware of his accomplishments, because of his humbleness.
His youthful passion and energy inspired us all to live life to the fullest every
single day and to make those around us the better, through his inspiration.
Jon’s love for the arts and supporting art and artists in all forms, through the
Foundation will continue now, and into the future.
“Many of my most enjoyable times as a young boy were spent going with my
mother to art galleries and shows. Now, as a result of my participation in the
Foundation, I recognize her work as much more important than I realized.
My mother’s greatest quality was her appreciation for all forms of art, and
the profound influence art has on all of us.”
It is in this spirit we will continue to honor both Joe and Jon’s memory.
